Today we present you the profiles of the European Indoor Champions in the 60m hurdles. The fastest woman was Nadine Visser from Netherlands and among men won Milan Trajkovic from Cyprus. Get to know them better!
Nadine Visser is 25-year-old athlete, born in Hoorn, Netherlands. Her first international debut was in 2011 at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Trabzon, Turkey, winning gold in the 100m hurdles. First senior championships had in Prague 2015, finished the European Indoor Championships in the semi-final. Two years later Visser won gold medal in the 100m hurdles at the European U23 Championships and the Summer Universiade in Taipei, Taiwan. Next years the Dutch athlete won two medals in the 60m hurdles – bronze at World Indoor Championships in Birmingham 2018 and gold at European Indoor Championships in Glasgow 2019. This year Visser competed indoor at the Dutch National Championships in the 60m (3rd place) and 60m hurdles (1st place) and the ISTAF Meeting in Berlin. She took part in the outdoor meetings in Arnhem and the Paavo Nurmi Games in Turku, Finland, where she won the 100m hurdles.
Visser's indoor personal best in the 60m hurdles is 7.83, set on 3 March 2018 in Birmingham at the World Indoor Championships.
Milan Trajkovic is 28-year-old athlete, born in Surdulica, which was part of Yugoslavia and now belongs to Serbia. Due to operation “Allied Force” and bombing he emigrated with his parents to Cyprus at the age of nine. In the early stages of his career Trajkovic succeeded at the European Team Championships, where Cyprus competed in the second or third league. In 2016 the Cypriot went to the next level, what is confirmed by the fifth place at the European Championships in Amsterdam and seventh place at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. In 2017 Trajkovic was sixth at the European Indoor Championships and two years later in Glasgow he surprised everyone and took gold medal, winning in 7.60. In 2020 he competed in four indoor meetings – Orlen Copernicus Cup in Torun, Orlen Cup in Lodz, Müller Indoor Grand Prix in Glasgow and the Hauts-de-France Pas-de-Calais w Liévin.
Trajkovic's indoor personal best in the 60m hurdles is 7.51, set on 4 March 2018 in Birmingham at the World Indoor Championships.
